Wako Shinobue are hand crafted Japanese bamboo flutes made in Tokyo Japan. Each flute is made with artistry and care in holding to a love for tradition. Using only Japanese Shinodake and natural materials, Wako flutes are favoured by the myriad of artists whose magical renditions of Edo Bayashi can be heard throughout Tokyo during festival season.

​With enormous pride and skill, Wako flutes are tuned to both Ohayashi (Japanese Scale) and Doremi (Western octatonic scales) scales. 

 

Wako flutes can be purchased from stock; however, they can be custom made to suite the players physicallity, power and desired pitches upon request.
